Dear [recipient's name]:

I received your letter dated December 5, 2010, stating that I have been suspended from attending Skyline College for the spring semester of 2011. The letter also states that the suspension took place for academic reasons, including poor grades.

I would like to respectfully ask that you reconsider this decision. Even though my grades were not satisfactory early in the semester, my grades for all of my classes drastically improved just recently. I also fully believe that this trend will continue, such that my grades will continue to improve and stabilize.

Please let me know whether you have accepted my appeal and whether I can attend Skyline for the spring. I look forward to hearing from you soon, and thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
