Dear [recipient's name]:

I just want to apologize to you for the argument we had last night. I am also writing to let you know that I truly want to resolve things with you. I know we talked about things like your long work hours and the issues about working together to get the household chores done. I know there are ways that we can work together to resolve all of this in a way that pleases both of us.

I would really like us to talk about all of this more tonight, so please let me know if you want to do that too. I know that between the two of us, we can work things out and make our relationship even stronger in the process. Like I said, I am so very sorry for anything hurtful that I said during the disagreement last night.

Love,
